Aboagye Danquah, a Ghanaian immigrant and former medical doctor, now works as a food delivery courier in Canada. One night, a strange order leads him to Emily, a terminally ill woman with no family and no time left. She doesn’t want food; she wants someone to stay with her until the very end. What begins as a routine delivery becomes a profound reckoning with loneliness, dignity, and human connection.
Each year, over 35,000 seniors in Canada die alone, and thousands of immigrants, like Aboagye, are trapped in survival jobs, their skills and potential overlooked. Inspired by these realities, this story explores how two strangers find meaning in a world that too often looks away from the isolated, the aging, and the unseen.
